PRODUCT ARCHITECTURE
There are five sets of architectural artifacts in EARN as listed in the following.
- Conceptual Architecture.
- Product Architecture.
- Operational Architecture.
- Systems Architecture.
- Configuration Management.
CONCEPTUAL ARCHITECTURE
This describes the components, modules, and parts of a product. Site plans, floor plans, elevation plans, structural drawings are examples of product architecture of a building.
OPERATIONAL ARCHITECTURE
This describes the processes, activities, and tasks in the design, development, logistics, fabrication, testing, training, operation, maintenance, support, and disposal of a product.
SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE
This consists of the descriptions, models, specifications, and interfaces of underlying systems required to support the complete life cycle of a product.
CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT
This is a repository of all architectural artifacts and a mechanism for control of changes over the life cycle of a product.
